The classic and still popular hybrid will be making a few more apperances this year. The next upcoming colorway is a combination of some strange colors, but overall it turned out pretty good. We have here the upcoming 3M McDonald’s colored Spiz’ike. The upper consist of a graphite suede, with yellow contrast stitching. Red and Yellow highlight the shoe in various places giving it that good ol Mickey D’s feel. The shoe also combines 3m Paneling in certain area’s. Look for these to Drop early March. Will this be a for sure cop your you? Check the detailed pictures we have for you.
The Air Jordan XI Gamma Blue release date is officially less than a month away now — it’s set for December 21 — so what better time to take another look at the shoe, right? Right.
You probably know the deal by now, but if not, a quick refresher: The blacked out upper starts with Cordura-style mesh and a leather heel before being wrapped in a patent mudguard; alternate gold and blue branding pop on the heel and tongue; an icily translucent outsole rounds out the look.
Check out a few more looks below, as well as release details as they stand now. Does this new colorway live up to the revered XI legacy?

These will not be available to the public. The Black/Anthracite/Volt colorway was made specifically to commemorate the 5 year anniversary of Sole Collector. I like how SC kept the color scheme fairly simple. Often times, a Nike x collab can come out looking like something a 2nd grader would design. Maybe Nike will come out with a similar colorway in the future. But for now, here’s some pics to drool over.
Jason Kidd’s long and illustrious NBA career officially came to an end this week, with the announcement of his retirement after an impressive 19 years in the NBA. Today in this Vintage Ad, we’ll take a look back at his first signature shoe, the Nike Zoom Flight Five.
Though many consider the Jason’s first shoe, his first official signature shoe was the Zoom Flight Five from 1996-97. The Flight Five picked up where the Flight 95 left off, also utilizing the still-new Zoom Air cushioning and featuring a bold, futuristic design, going from the “bubbles” of the ’95 to the iridescent “insect eye” of the Five. All these years, assists, triple doubles and All-Star appearances later, the Zoom Flight Five is still revered as JKidd’s greatest signature shoe. Let’s hope with his retirement, Nike Sportswear will bless us with this original black and purple colorway again soon!

If you’re into vintage sportswear at all, you probably already know about And Still. If not, you definitely should! And Still is the world’s best destination for all things 80’s and 90’s sports apparel and hip-hop. We’re not talking dingy old thrift store finds here. This is crispy, deadstock product that looks like it was made last week, not 20+ years ago. Starter jackets, Salem caricature t-shirts of your favorite 80’s sports star, Raiders ZUBAZ pants, that Charlotte Hornets snapback hat you had in third grade…they have it all. Kirk Tilton, co-owner of And Still and the authority on all things in vintage sportswear, took some time to answer a few questions about the shop, his favorite scores, and even a little sneaker talk. Check out the words from a vintage genius, and make sure to stop by And Still the next time you’re in LA. Just don’t blame us if you leave with three Starter jackets, a Harold Miner jersey and a pair of Xavier McDaniel shoes!
Zack Schlemmer: What up Kirk! First, just give a quick introduction of yourself and the history of And Still / For All To Envy.
Kirk Tilton: What up Zack! For All To Envy started over a decade ago back in New Hampshire after realizing a 9-5 wasn’t for me. I had always gone to thrift stores and flea markets to hunt for vintage but it was Ebay that opened my eyes to the business side of it. My first big flip was a heather gray 1986 Mets/Red Sox World Series (insert Buckner joke here) tee that I bought for a couple bucks at the thrift store and sold it for $80 on eBay. After that I never looked back. Fast forward to 2009, I moved to LA and partnered up with Jeremy at And Still who had been open on La Brea for a little over a year. He had the store front, I had the internet on lock, it made sense….and dollars!! Together we supply the world with the best vintage sportswear from the 80’s and 90’s!
ZS: I won’t ask the question, “Where do you find all this stuff?!” because I’m sure you get asked almost every single day… plus a master never reveals his secrets…but where is the craziest place you have ever made a vintage score, or just a memorable story?
KT: As you said, a master never reveals his secrets, but here’s one for all the Sole Collector readers out there. Go to the yard sales of washed up athletes. You know, the Jose Canseco’s of the world. These guys are always looking to make a buck and will sell anything, I mean anything. At the last Canseco yard sale I bought 40 sealed Bash Brothers posters for $1 each ().
One of the most memorable digs was back in NH before I moved out to LA. I was at the flea market and found a guy selling boxes of vintage baseball cards and some memorabilia. I started talking to him and come to find out he used to own a sports store in the 90’s. I threw out the million dollar question “Do you have more stock?” He replied “I have two storage units full.” Before he could even finish his sentence I asked if I could meet him there the following morning, he agreed. I went the next day to find 2 storage units literally filled to the ceiling with sneakers, snapbacks and apparel. The sneakers consisted of Ewings, Mutombos, Larry Johnsons and any other non Jordan/Nike endorsed player from the 90’s. The hats were a mix of brands like Sports Specialties, Starter, Universal and G-Cap. All in all, it was like I had died and gone to deadstock heaven with the gatekeeper being an old drunk named Dick (that was really his name).
Recently JB just released a very rare limited to 30 pcs Converse x Jordan Set that was auctioned off on ebay. This year full of goodies left we are already looking forward to next year. Here we get a look at another Jordan 1 Classic that is set to release early 2013. Early pics of the black toe Jordan 1 High surfaced yesterday and today we have a look at the Varsity Red Colorway. These are looking like a must cop for the 2013 season and these new images bring back memories of Jordan First stepping on that hardwood floor. But unlike the black toe version there will be no Nike Air on the Tongue but the Jumpman logo that we have been seeing for years now. How do you feel about this classic Retro returning?
The big day is finally coming that we elect our next president, with early voting already taking place soon we will have a new commander and chief. Obama? or Romney? who will you be voting for? Jordan Brand decides to drop a Jordan Retro 1 High that brings inspiration from the upcoming election day. The shoe features a crackled elephant print toe box and back, blinding in a navy fabric upper. Red white and blue is clearly the color to go with but also peep the insoles one features both parties logo’s the elephant and the Donkey. Look for these to be dropping at your local Jordan Brand retailers soon. GO VOTE!
